EIFS systems have been used in NZ for over 20 years. Today they represent about Approximately 5% of all exterior wall claddings used in New Zealand construction industry. EIFS systems are especially popular for the design flexibility combined with insulation properties.
EIFS systems are not only used extensively by design professionals in new construction, but are becoming increasingly popular in the recladding and modernisation of old existing buildings.
Modernising of old cold buildings can be done by fixing an EIFS system onto the existing cladding. This can be done with minimal disruption to the tenants and will provide a modern energy efficient insulated cladding.
